89.7 WUEC-FM PROGRAMMING FOR NOV. 11
EAU CLAIRE, Wis., Nov. 7, 2012–On Sunday’s broadcast, student producers at 89.7 WUEC-FM will highlight campus a cappella group The Innocent Men and debut a weekly sereies on local volunteerism.
Blugold Radio (Sundays 5:05-6 p.m.) with Jessica Sharpee and Rachel Vick will feature an interview with the members of The Innocent Men, an all-male a cappella group on campus.
Sharpee and Vick will also highlight student and Local Independence host Taylor Kuether’s trip to China. Kuether is traveling in China as a member of a delegation including Interim Chancellor Gilles Bousquet. Kuether’s job is to share the experience through online updates and photos. She is the only student traveling with the delegation.
Local Independence (Sundays 6-8 p.m.) with Rachel Minske will feature an interview with staff from the Beacon House, a shelter dedicated to help those struggling with homelessness.
As the holiday season draws near, volunteering becomes a great way to give to those in our area who need it most. In light of this, Local Independence will be introducing a different volunteer opportunity or organization to get involved with each week.
Topics covered this week on WUEC News (Sundays 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.) include the dangers of cheerleading, calendar day parking in Eau Claire, Veteran’s Day, and auditions for MTV’s “Made.”
Ginna Roe will discuss what dangers are involved for athletes in the sport of cheerleading.
Danielle Pahl will cover calendar day parking in Eau Claire.
Kayla Peche will discuss Veteran’s Day, which is this Sunday.
Hannah Weikel will share her interviews with UW-Eau Claire students who auditioned to be on MTV’s “Made” at today’s open casting call.
