EAU CLAIRE, Wis., Feb. 13, 2013
Blugold Radio (Sundays 5:05-6 p.m.) with Rachel Vick will feature an interview with recent UW-Eau Claire graduate and past host of Blugold Radio Breann Schossow, a segment with special reporter Raina Beutel, and an installment of the ongoing segment with former host Jessica Sharpee.
Schossow will discuss her recent internship with National Public Radio and offer some advice for current students. Beutel will continue her field reporting. Sharpee will share some of her experiences from her study abroad program in Winchester, England.
Local Independence (Sundays 6-8 p.m.) with Rachel Minske will be taking a look at this year’s Fire Ball drag show and will feature interviews with performers as well as reactions from audience members.
The event was held last night in the W.R. Davies Student Center. Proceeds will benefit the LGBTQA Student Support Fund.
Minske will also investigate rumors of the rekindling of local band Meridene.
Reporters at WUEC News (Sundays 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 7 p.m.) will discuss virtual education and continue exploring story topics from last week’s broadcast.
Shelli Adamczyk will continue reporting on a local alternative band that’s making a difference by donating funds from a music single to Alzheimer’s disease research.
Tiffany Coggins will discuss the proposed iron mining bill in Wisconsin.
Hannah Weikel will explore the growing trend of virtual education.
