WUEC 89.7 FM PROGRAMMING FOR NOVEMBER 17
EAU CLAIRE, Wis., Nov. 12, 2013––This week’s broadcast of Blugold Radio will include interviews with UW-Eau Claire professors Drs. Michelle Edwards and Lauren Likkel.
During the first hour, Jessica Sharpee will feature members of UWEC’s Psychology Club. The student organization was formed in 1992 and aims to bring students together that have a common interest in the field.
Rachel Minske will interview UWEC student Anthony Jagielo who ran in Wisconsin’s Ironman competition in September. Jagielo participated in the event with his fiancé Deana Petersen and finished with a time of 10 hours, 22 minutes to qualify for the Ironman World Championship in October of 2014.
In the second hour of Blugold Radio (Sundays 5-8 pm,) Elliott Etzkorn will sit down with Dr. Michelle Edwards, who is a senior lecturer in the Music and Theatre Arts program at UWEC. Dr. Edwards is an expert on women in music and conducts research on the topic.
In addition, the latest trending topics in the Eau Claire community will be covered in Raina Beutel’s “Raina At Large” segment, while the latest on students with jobs and internships will be highlighted in James Pfitzinger’s “Taste of the Workplace.”
Hour three will include Kelsie McMahon’s interview with UWEC professor Dr. Lauren Likkel. Professor Likkel runs the L.E. Phillips Planetarium which hosts public shows on Tuesdays at 7 pm and children’s shows on Saturdays at 11 am.
Reporters Chi Ab Vang, Shelli Adamcyzk, Glenn Olson, and Zhen Wei Yap will cover the latest university and community events during Blugold Radio News.
