WUEC 89.7 FM PROGRAMMING FOR NOVEMBER 24
EAU CLAIRE, Wis., Nov. 19, 2013––This week’s broadcast of Blugold Radio will include interviews with UW-Eau Claire’s Campus Kitchen and Chicago indie band Fort Frances.
In the first hour, Jessica Sharpee will shine a spotlight on UWEC’s Campus Kitchen organization. The student driven organization recycles cooked but never served food from the campus dining hall to make healthy meals for the needy in the community of Eau Claire.
Chi Ab Vang will interview staff members and volunteers of Eau Claire’s Sojourner House. The homeless shelter is open year round and is open for anyone who needs a place to sleep overnight.
During the second hour of Blugold Radio (Sundays 5-8 pm,) the latest trending topics in the Eau Claire community will be covered in Raina Beutel’s “Raina At Large” segment, while the latest on students with jobs and internships will be highlighted in James Pfitzinger’s “Taste of the Workplace.”
Hour three will include an in-studio performance and interview with indie band Fort Frances. Kelsie McMahon will sit down with the Chicago-based band to talk about their performance at UWEC’s Cabin on November 23 and their latest EP, Breathing Room.
Blugold Radio News will feature a report by Shelli Adamcyzk on Eau Claire citizens not getting the right amount of money back from state government reimbursement. In addition, Glen Olson will cover UWEC’s race and bias incident report team and find out how they handle the incidents that get reported. Zhen Wei Yap will highlight Blugold Beginnings and the new diversity award that they were awarded.
