Blugold Radio Programming for December 15 Broadcast

WUEC 89.7 FM PROGRAMMING FOR DECEMBER 15

EAU CLAIRE, Wis., Dec. 10–– During this semester’s last broadcast of Blugold Radio, Elliott Etzkorn will interview UW-Eau Claire professor Dr. Elisha Polomski and Jessica Sharpee will feature holiday performances from the university’s music groups.

In the first hour, Jessica Sharpee will lead a UWEC Holiday Music Showcase, which will feature holiday classics performed by the university’s bands and choirs.

Rachel Minske will say goodbye to producers James Pfitzinger and Elliott Etzkorn while welcoming our new hosts in a special feature. Pfitzinger and Etzkorn will be missed and we wish them the best in their very bright futures.

During hour two of Blugold Radio (Sundays 5-8 pm,) Elliott Etzkorn will sit down with UWEC professor Dr. Elisha Polomski. Polomski, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy, will discuss NASA’s upcoming Mars and Pluto missions.

Hour three will include a feature by Kelsie McMahon on UWEC’s Eau Cinema Festival. The event is being hosted by UAC Films.

Blugold Radio News will feature an interview by Tyler Hendersen with acclaimed pianist Richard Johnson. Johnson performed with UWEC’s Jazz Ensemble l on December 6 and is a former pianist of the Wynton Marsalis Septet and Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra. Zhen Wei Yap will report on a café kiosk in UWEC’s Hibbard Hall moving to the new Centennial Hall. In addition, Glen Olson will give an update on the university’s Student Senate budget.
