WUEC 89.7 FM PROGRAMMING FOR FEBRUARY 23
EAU CLAIRE, Wis., Feb. 18–– Blugold Radio airs this Sunday with a focus on music and fun apps for your phone!
In the first hour Jessica Sharpee will be focusing on UW-Eau Claire student organization Best Buddies, an organization that pairs people with intellectual disabilities with college students.
Chi Ab Vang will be focusing again on the Confluence Project, with an emphasis on properties in Eau Claire. She will be sitting down with Kelly Christensen, the head of the Beacon House to discuss how this project could affect homelessness within the Eau Claire area.
During the second hour of Blugold Radio (Sundays 5-8 pm), Raina Beutel will be talking to students about the smartphone dating app “Tinder.”
Rachel Minske will be speaking about the U.S. Virgin Islands and about how minority groups have less access to healthcare.
Breana Lyga will be continuing to explore the community of Eau Claire and will be interviewing the owner of Truckers Union, a quirky head and gift shop right on the main drag of Water Street.
Hour three will include a focus by Kelsie McMahon on UWEC’s University Activities Commission (UAC) of the Student Senate. She will be interviewing the two directors of the campus-wide events programming board.
Chelsea Emory will feature an exciting music segment on songs from Cuba and Italy.
During every hour, Tyler Henderson will be giving the latest updates on local sports, as well as a continuation of the Olympics. Leah Engebretson will be playing the music of awesome Youtube artists originally posted online.
Blugold Radio News will include a “Taste of the Workplace” segment by James Pfitzinger and a Student Senate Update by Raina Beutel over the released Senate Budget.
