WUEC 89.7 FM PROGRAMMING FOR MARCH 2
EAU CLAIRE, Wis., Feb. 25–– Blugold Radio will include reports on this year’s March of Dimes as well as a feature on Eau Claire’s Coffeegrounds Shop during this week’s broadcast.
In the first hour, Jessica Sharpee will sit down with UWEC student members of Eau Claire’s 2014 March of Dimes to discuss this year’s plans and how students can get involved.
Sara Hansen will interview Eau Claire band Meridene whose latest album Something Like Blood was released in September of 2010 on Amble Down Records. The band plays consistently throughout the Eau Claire area.
During hour two of Blugold Radio (Sunday 5-8 pm), Raina Beutel will ask students about their plans for Mardi Gras during her Raina At Large segment.
In Bridging the Gap with Bre Lyga, Lyga will feature Eau Claire’s Coffeegrounds which has two locations in the city, one on 3450 Mall Drive and the other at 2116 Craig Road. The shop is known for its foods, spirits, and coffee.
The third hour will include a spotlight on UWEC’s Jazz Ensemble l during Kelsie McMahon’s entertainment segment. The acclaimed ensemble will soon release a new album.
Chelsea Emory will talk with UWEC alumnus Gina Lawton, who recently participated in a Central European Travel Seminar, during her study abroad segment.
Blugold Radio News will include a report by Kiri Salinas on UWEC’s Civil Rights Pilgrimage as well as a story on the McIntyre Library Archives by Glen Olson. Zhen Wei Yap will give the latest updates on the body that was found in Chippewa Falls and the investigation surrounding it. In addition, Kayty Brick will talk about AMA’s upcoming international competition.
