WUEC 89.7 FM PROGRAMMING FOR MARCH 30
EAU CLAIRE, Wis., March 25–– Blugold Radio airs this Sunday with a focus on the Eau Claire community and a special interview.
In the first hour, Chi Ab Vang will focus on the Confluence Project and will be surveying UW- Eau Claire students in order to get their opinions, see how many know about it, and to see how students feel about it in general. While Jessica Sharpee will be speaking with an Eau Claire social workers organization.
There will also be a fun interview with a Warner Music Nashville Artists and Repertoire (A&R) rep featuring Leah Engebretson. It was obtained over UWEC’s spring break in Nashville, Tennessee.
During the second hour of Blugold Radio (Sundays 5-8 pm), Breana Lyga will be continuing to explore the community of Eau Claire for “Bridging the Gap” and will be talking with owner Billy Siegel of Eau Claire’s recently relocated record store Revival Records, a store that opened its doors in 2009. The store is now located on 128 S. Barstow St. It is the go to spot for new, used, and local music in the Chippewa Valley area. It’s goal is to remind people of what it means to really experience music in this digital driven age and has continually succeeded in creating an atmosphere that promotes the sharing of the listening experience.
Raina Beutel will have a segment called “Rate your Renter” and will be talking to students about April Fool’s Day for “Raina at Large.”
Hour three will include a focus by Kelsie McMahon on two of UW-Eau Claire’s own professors who are participating in an international poetry reading event.
During every hour, Tyler Henderson will be giving the latest updates on local sports. And Leah Engebretson will be playing some of the music recorded at Blugold Radio’s March 27th a capella showcase featuring UWEC’s a capella groups Audacious and The Innocent Men.
