WUEC 89.7 FM PROGRAMMING FOR MAY 4
EAU CLAIRE, Wis., April 29–– Blugold Radio airs this Sunday with a focus on the new additions to the Blugold Radio team.
In the first hour for Blugold Radio, Jessica Sharpee will be focusing on UW-Eau Claire’s Student Nurses Association (ECSNA). The ECSNA is a student nurses’ organization open to any person who is enrolled in the pre-nursing or nursing program at the UWEC campus or at the Marshfield satellite program. It is a link to the Wisconsin and National levels of student nurse associations.
There will be also be an introduction to three of the new producers for next year’s Blugold Radio’s team.
While Chi Ab Vang will be discussing the Confluence Project again and where its set to go from here. She will be talking about UWEC’s attempt to getting funding from the state and possible obstacles it may face as well as next steps the University will have to take.
Reporter Zhen Wei Yap will be speaking about UWEC and how it is soon planning to re-zone property on 100 Roosevelt Ave. in order to potentially build four new dorms for the campus.
Reporter Kayty Brick will speaking to an UWEC student and professor about their summer plans to work on preventing hunger this summer in Eau Claire, which affects every one in six people in the United States.
And reporter Glen Olson will be speaking with the North American Mining Company about their recent grant contribution to geology students at UWEC.
During the second hour of Blugold Radio (Sundays 5-8 pm), Raina Beutel will be talking to UWEC students for her segment “Raina at Large.”
Rachel Minske will be interviewing UWEC student Cody Fischer about some of his current and future plans for research.
And Breana Lyga will also talk to an exciting local business in Eau Claire for her segment “Bridging the Gap.”
Hour three will include an entertainment segment by Kelsie McMahon who will be focusing on one of the exciting acts coming to Eau Claire within the next week or two.
Chelsea Emory will be giving an interview with UWEC student’s Jenny Gagnon and Nolan Schmitt about their time abroad and experience in Australia.
And during every hour, Tyler Henderson will be giving the latest updates on local sports. While Leah Engebretson will be playing music from popular band The Summer Set.
