Blugold Radio Programming for November 23 Broadcast

EAU CLAIRE, Wis., November 19–– Blugold Radio airs this Sunday with a feature on singer-songwriter Ingrid Michaelson.

Producer Kayla Menzie’s “Exploring the Arts” segment this week will highlight an interview with indie pop singer-songwriter Ingrid Michaelson. Michaelson’s first album was released in 2005 and she has since put out five more. Her latest record, “Lights Out” hit stores in April of 2014. Menzie will be speaking with her about her music, career, and performance on the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire campus (on November 17).

Producer Courtney Kueppers will be speaking with members of Alpha Xi Delta as a continuation of her three week long segment on sororities at the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire. Alpha Xi Delta is a social and philanthropic national American women’s sorority.

Reporter Sam Martinez will be speaking with Max Garland, poet laureate and faculty at UW-Eau Claire. Martinez will talk with Garland about his views on the state of arts in Wisconsin and its importance.

Reporter Eddie Sanchez will be talking to Joseph Orser, the author of a new book on conjoined twins.

Matthew Rothschild will give an editorial piece on the Anime SAO (Sword Art Online).

Jake Meurett will conclude his buddy cop drama.

Producer Zhen Wei Yap will be speaking with a student from Latvia for his International segment “The Zhen Plane.” He will talk to this student about his own country, as well as some of the other Baltic states, such as Estonia. Reporter Elizabeth Gosling will play music from the Baltic states, with an emphasis on Latvia, during the broadcast.

Reporter Samantha Wensel will be reviewing the film “Drive” for her weekly “Sammi Says” segment. The 2011 neo-noir, arthouse action, crime thriller stars Ryan Gosling, Carey Mulligan, and Bryan Cranston.

And finally, reporter Jake Paulis will be playing music by popular “outlaw” country artists like Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings.
